1x17 Spirit in the Night

El equipo de los Ravens, junto con las animadoras, viajan a Charlotte para disputar un partido y participar en el campeonato de animadoras. Haley en un principio viaja para ver jugar a Lucas, pero acaba sustituyendo a una animadora que se ha puesto enferma en el último momento. Al mismo tiempo Whitey obliga a Lucas a ayudar a Nathan con el tiro en suspensión y por si fuera poco a compartir habitación. Durante el viaje además Lucas se enfada con Haley. Por otro lado, Nathan ya ha conseguido apartamento.

Haley le cuenta a Nathan que va a ir a Charlotte con ellos y Nathan le dice que ya tiene apartamento:

- How’s it going?

- Well, in a startling new development, it looks like I’m going to be joining you at the classic.

- You and me in the same hotel? This weekend just got interesting.

- Down boy. Plus it’s probably better if I don’t leave you with all those cheerleaders anyway. So how’d it go?

- I got the apartment.

- Ah, that’s great.

- I drained my savings, paid first and last month’s rent. It’s mine on Sunday.

- So cool!

Nathan se ofrece a llevar las cosas de las animadoras en su coche y Haley decide ir con él, a pesar de que le había dicho a Lucas que se sentaría con él en el autobús:

- I don’t care how important this tournament is, people trump pom-poms. We can’t fit all that crap on the bus.
- Fine! You be responsible for ten very pissed off cheerleaders.
- Coach, if we’re short on room I can drive.
- No, no, no, forget it.
- Why not? I can fit all that crap in my trunk.
- Alright. But you stay right behind the bus.
- Thanks.

- Sweet. Come on, Hales.
- Oh, uh, Lucas is saving me a seat.
- What are you in third grade? Come on, we’ll ride in style.

- Hey, um, I’m going to ride with Nathan. Is that cool?
- Yeah, no problem.

Cuando Haley se dirigía al vestíbulo donde había quedado con Lucas, Nathan la ve y la entretiene en la habitación:

- You scared me.
- Well, we’re not allowed to have girls in the room so I had to keep it covert. Hang out for a little bit.
- Oh I can’t. I’ve got to meet Lucas for pizza in the lobby. I think I’m already late.
- So be later. We’ve got a whole hotel room to ourselves.

- Sorry, I thought we had plans.
- We do.
- Naw, just do your thing.
- I’m sorry. Lucas.

Haley le cuenta a Nathan que va a sustituir a Teresa:

- Haley?
- I’m kind of filling in for Theresa.
- Works for me. I got a thing for cheerleaders.
- Oh yeah?

Después de la competición Nathan da la enhorabuena a Haley:

- Haley. That’s great.
- Can you believe?
- You did awesome.
- Thank you.

Escena final Naley del capítulo:

- Hey guys. This is a first.
- Haley! Hey what’s up?
- Hey.
- Who’s that?
- I have no idea.
- Well I guess that’s a first too. Alright I’ll see you guys later.
- Okay. Bye.
- Bye.
- Hear that? He said you guys.
- Easy, match maker. So I’m headed back to the apartment. You sure you don’t want to get that cheerleading uniform back?
- Shut up!

Este capítulo siempre me ha gustado, vemos a Haley por primera vez con el uniforme de animadora aunque luego en la tercera temporada ya sea animadora oficial. Me hizo gracia porque ya había visto a Bethany haciendo de animadora en la película "Bring it on again" y no se le daba nada mal jejejeje

Por otro lado Lucas, que ya le tenía manía, se comporta como un cretino con Haley cuando le dice que está ridícula con el uniforme y Nathan me encanta todo lo que le dice a Lucas.

Estas son las dos escenas a las que me refiero:

- They needed an extra. What do you think?

- I think you look kind of  ridiculous.
- You do realize that both your former girlfriends are cheerleaders. Oh right, excuse me. I guess I’m not allowed to have any fun.
- That’s not it.
- Yeah, that is it. I’m having a good time, I’m happy. I’d think that my friends would be happy for me too.
- Haley get in!

- What have you been doing to Haley, man? You were kind of a dick to her tonight.
- You know, she used to be this totally original…Haley. Then you came along.
- And as far as I can tell she’s still the same person she’s always been. The only difference is now she’s with me. So maybe the problem’s not with her. Maybe the problem’s with you.

Mañana más que además acabo los exámenes y me tendré que poner las pilas con esto que me voy a Cádiz del 29 al 9 y no se si podre actualizar desde allí, asi que intentaré adelantar todo lo que pueda.
