1x16 The First Cut is the Deepest

En el capítulo de hoy Nathan sigue viviendo con Dan hasta que descubre el gran secreto de Deb. Cansado de toda la historia de la custodia decide emanciparse. Por otro lado, Haley busca, sin éxito, entradas para el concierto de Sheryl Crow, pero mientras cierra el Café, la cantante entra por la puerta y a cambio de un café toca la canción que da nombre al capítulo.

Nathan llega al instituto con el coche nuevo y Haley le cuenta lo de las entradas:

- What’d you do? Knock over you dad’s dealership? Okay, none of my business. I’ll see ya.
- Okay.
- What is this?
- Dad gave it to me. His way of showing me who’s in control.
- Ew, give it back.
- No. If I’m going to live like this, I’m going to take everything I can get.
- Okay.
- So what’d you do last night?
- I was up all night bidding on ebay for those Sheryl Crow tickets.
- Oh yeah. The show’s tomorrow.
- Yeah.
- Any luck?
- No, but there’s three more auctions tonight.
- I got DSL. Do you want to come over?
- Oh yeah!

En el Café de Karen, Nathan le cuenta a Haley que está cansado de la situación con sus padres:

 

- So now I know. I don’t ever remember feeling like this, Haley. I mean, yeah with my dad, but she abandoned me.
- I’m sorry.
- I can’t go back there. And I can’t live with my dad either. I’m screwed.
- Maybe not. There might be an answer.

La actuación de Sheryl para Nathan y Haley en el Café de Karen:

- Sorry we’re…

- I was hoping to get a cup of coffee.

- Open! We are so open. Cup of cup, uh cup cup of coffee, yeah. We can, uh, we can do that for you. Sheryl Crow. I’m a huge fan. You have no idea how much it killed me to miss your concert tonight. We waited on line and everything and then the stupid ebay snipers just…

- Haley. Let it go.

- Right.

- Thanks. How much do I owe you?

- One song per cup. You know the sad thing is, nobody’s going to believe us when we tell them.

- I can solve that problem.

Bueno por fin me ha dejado subir los videos, así que ya he podido actualizar.

De este capítulo no hay muchos que decir la verdad, pero allá vamos. Pienso que Nathan es un poco duro con Deb, pero le entiendo, el pobre está cansado de todo lo que está pasado y de que le manipulen. Por otro lado me parece muy valiente por su parte que se independice siendo tan joven pero me alegro por él, porque realmente es lo que necesita. También me encanta que Nathan pueda contar con Haley y lo bien que se les ve juntos, hablando de cualquier cosa.
